A short van shuttle brings us to the crest of the extinct volcano overlooking Christchurch and the Canterbury Plains. You will ride along its crater rim, with panoramic views into the caldera, (now a scenic harbour), over Christchurch city & across the plains to the Southern Alps, before descending on a downhill that seems to go forever. Thats just the start of a great day with 32km, 41km and 70km options available. This tour has been revised as a result of the recent earthquake in Christchurch, and we now use the crater rim ride above Akaroa Harbour instead
